Pretty good week. It felt great to go easy on the runs. For the weight lifting, I definitely felt the absence of the heavier weights. I did the minimum for the sets just to ease back into it. Following base building, I plan on doing a retest just to see where my strength is.

The runs were pretty easy. Tuesday was the first tempo run I ran in a few years, plan on hitting this again next week. Thursday wasn’t a run, but it did the trick for low-intensity cardio, which is fine for when I need an easy week. Not fine when this is supposed to be a high-intensity cardio session. Maybe increase the reps for KB swings? Might try something different for this one. Saturday’s run was low intensity by design. I ran for 30-35 minutes with lots of hills.

Next week, weights increase, which will give me a better idea of where I need to be for my retest. Also, need to dial in the nutrition a bit. Don’t want to be in a calorie deficit, but that doesn’t excuse splurging on nasty stuff.
