I opted for two tempo runs this week. Definitely affected my second run, not that I care too much for time. Saturday’s run was impacted because of Disneyland on Friday. Walking and standing in lines from opening until closing took its toll. Strength felt a lot better. I could have done more sets, but kept it on the lower side because of Friday’s trip to Disney.

What I need to keep a close eye on is food. I got away from calorie tracking and might need to get back on that. Don’t really care about a holiday dinner on the weekend (that’s a cheat meal), but definitely care about snacking during the week.

Next week is the final week of base building. For the two strength training sessions, it’ll be 90% maxes at 3 reps. Following this week will be a test week. Only two days, no running. Then we hit the actual program.
